The complete program was designed an as introduction and overview for new clinical laboratory personnel, and as a review for current clinical laboratory personnel, including personnel moving into positions such as Lead, Technical Consultant, Technical Supervisor, or Laboratory Director. Part I covers: Proficiency testing (PT) introduction and overview, Regulated vs. unregulated analytes and tests, PT enrollment, PT program providers and Introduction to Alternative Performance Assessment (APA) Part II covers: Scheduling, receiving, handling, and testing PT, PT referral regulation, Unsatisfactory and unsuccessful performance and participation, No inter-laboratory PT communication and Cease testing. Part III covers: Assessing PT and APA, Investigating PT and APA performance issues, and PT documents and records. With this training you will have access to the instructor for any questions you may have regarding the training, or any additional questions you may have regarding PT and APA in your laboratory.
